OPTIBENT® products – rheological additives based on laminar silicates – have been specially developed to meet the requirements of dry-mix mortars and paste systems. These products make it possible to influence and control such specific properties as viscosity, yield value (stability) and workability. OPTIBENT® products are suitable for use in all mineral-based systems such as adhesives, EIFS, stuccos, plasters, levellings and screeds. For latex based systems, we also recommend Optigel® W products in addition to OPTIBENT®.

OPTIFLO® L1400
OPTIFLO® L1400 is a hydrophobically modified associative thickening polymer that was designed to efficiently thicken acrylic, styrene/acrylic, and vinyl acetate copolymer latex paint systems. OPTIFLO® L1400 typically exhibits 30 – 40% higher ICI viscosity at equal addition than other traditionally used ICI drivers. In-can stability can also be improved by the addition of OPTIFLO® L1400 to latex paint formulations.
